Cheese Corn Balls

Ingredients


  • 1,1/2-2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 Cup crused American corn
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 5 Tbsp Fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/2 Cup Amul Cheese
  • 2 Tbsp All purpose flour ( Maida)
  • 1 Tsp Oregano
  • 1Tsp Dried Parsley
  • 1 Tsp Dried Basil Leaves
  • 1 Tsp Chilli Flakes
  • Salt to Taste
  • 2 Tbsp chopped Cilintro

Other Ingredients*
  • All purpose flour Slurry ( Maida Slurry)
  • Breadcrumbs to Coat
  • Oil to Fry

Directions
  • Heat the pan and add 1 1/2 – 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • Add 1/2 Crused Corn and Satue them in butter until you smell the aroma. Approx. 2 -3 Mins
  • Add 2 Tbsp of all purpose flour and cook it for 2 mins .
  • Add 1/2 Cup of milk and cook until the mixture gets lumpy.
  • Transfer the mixter to bowl and wait until it reached to room temperature.
  • Now add 5 tbsp of fresh breadcrumbs, 1tsp chilie flakes, 1tsp Oregano, 1tsp dried parsley, 1tsp dried basil, 1/2 Cup Amul cheese and salt as per taste.
  • Mix them all and prepare a soft dough . Make small balls according to size you like.
  • Heat the oil for deep frying
  • Dip each ball into all purpose flour slurry and roll then into the breadcrumbs and deep fry them at medium flame until they turn golden brown.

  • I have used fresh corn cob. Frozen corn can be used too.
  • To make fresh breadcrumbs. Take 3 bread slices microwave for 2 mins and blend them in processor.
  • I have used regular breadcrumbs to coat the corn balls .
  • Instead of frying you can bake them in oven at 350 Degrees for 15-20 mins.
